APPLICATIONS CLOSED: Current Vacancy: General Manager (full time, permanent)

The Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust / Te Tautiaki Hoiho seeks a highly motivated person to lead the organisation. Due to a retirement, this unique opportunity has arisen for a new General Manager to lead our organisation and implement our strategic direction.

The Trust’s work focuses on both the terrestrial and marine environments where the nationally endangered yellow-eyed penguin / hoiho lives. The Trust’s whole of ecosystem approach on land has seen hoiho habitats along the Otago and Southland coastlines be protected. Our comprehensive conservation programme includes the monitoring of hoiho and relevant interventions to ensure their individual survival. We also propagate native plants for coastal habitats, purchase and manage reserves, advocate the plight of hoiho and other conservation issues, and drive research in the marine environment.

This permanent position is based in Dunedin and while full-time (40 hrs pw), some flexibility in working hours may be available.
