Sea Week Coastal Clean Up 2019

This Saturday 2nd of March is the Annual Sea Week Coastal Clean Up, so we’re heading back to Smails Beach to tackle the sand dunes!

If you would like to join in the fun, then please head down to the Dinosaur Park on John Wilson Drive, Dunedin at 10.30am.

Here you can collect your gloves and a recycling bag, or if you have your own then jump in the car and drive over to the Tomahawk Bunkers & lookout car park on Tomahawk Road. Here we will have a health and safety briefing before jumping into the dunes to remove as much rubbish as possible.

Around 12.30pm all the rubbish will be transported by truck to the Dinosaur park where it will be sorted.

What you need to bring:

• Closed-toe and sturdy shoes (such as sports shoes/ cross trainers/ tramping boots)
• Warm clothing: Check the weather and dress appropriately
• Sun screen and hat
• Lunch and snacks
• Water

We can’t wait to see you all there!
