Want to join a great team working to save one of the world’s most endangered penguin species right here in Dunedin?

Our fantastic Administrator will shortly be going on parental leave and we are looking for someone to step into this crucial role and join our team until they return.

Part-time, 20-28 hours per week Tue-Fri, there can be flexibility with hours and start/finish times, within our office hours.

This role is based in our office in Dunedin and is key to ensuring the smooth functioning of the Trust through administrative support to the team. The specific skills required for this position include:

  • Competence with accounts and accounting system software
  • An understanding of membership database systems
  • Experience with social media and updating website content

We are looking for someone who will be a great fit for our small team in turning their hand to all things administration.

The Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust’s work involves the conservation of coastal ecosystems that include hoiho breeding habitats. It protects hoiho habitat along the Otago and Southland coastlines by establishing and protecting penguin reserves, replanting breeding areas with native trees and shrubs produced at its own nursery, trapping predators, funding research and advocating and educating about the need for penguin conservation.
