Our Work
The Trust has a comprehensive coastal conservation programme. Measures

The Trust's work involves the conservation of yellow-eyed penguin
breeding habitats.
Introduced predatory mammals pose a serious threat to all New Zealand
birds.
A variety of research projects have been undertaken to learn more
about the penguins.
In New Zealand, one thousand years ago humans brought with them
many threats to add to the penguins plight.
The Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust established a plant nursery in 1989
with the purpose of growing plants for revegetating yellow-eyed
penguin habitats.
The Trust provides information to the public on penguin conservation,
and advocates for its ongoing protection.
